Yezenia Hernandez ’95, RN is a clinical nurse employed by CHLA, a nationally renowned acute care facility. But she is so much more! She lives out of her passion for nursing, utilizing her education and skills as a USC graduate and her healing love with her new-born to young adult patients.
Yezenia shared that she was inspired by her 9th grade religion teacher, S. Dorothy Maureen when participating in a service project working with ill children. She loved it! She was further encouraged by Mary Canobbio '65 at a Career Day presentation and gained valuable information on the practical ways of attaining her goal and “great advice to go for it from the beginning!”
