The E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Initiative was created to combat Sacred Heart High School's challenges. The task was to change the culture. Those leading this change are not administrators, faculty, or staff. They are our students. The E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Initiative is about Empowering our Leaders to Embrace our Vision And Transform our Environment. Taking our best student leaders, we train and coach them to lead our school in powerful ways. And it's transforming our environment; it's changing our culture.

A group of administrators and students coordinates the E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Initiative; rather than having the staff, faculty, and administration lead this initiative, students lead their peers in changing the culture of S.H.H.S. The top leaders of Sacred Heart impact the student body, transforming the culture to create Sisterhood, Familia, and Connection.

As our mascot is the Comets, which are small solar system bodies that radiate through space, the E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Initiative is like a mission departing from a planet of loneliness, isolation, social anxiety, exclusivity, and lack of support, and journeying towards the planet of Sisterhood, Familia, and Connection. All student activities are the spacecraft that will bring the school to this planet. Rather than the administration or staff leading this initiative, the student leaders, known as the Rockets, are the flight crew that pilot and direct this spacecraft.

Sister Teams ventured out to several schools and parishes to provide service where needed. In this experience, they were able to share in the Dominican tradition as well as embrace the opportunity to bond as a team through community service.

We hope these experiences continue to engender our young ladies to seek and embrace kindness, charity, and selflessness.
